Maverick

After Paul Turner left RockShox in 1999, he had a desire to create a better mountain bike for himself to ride in the hills around Boulder, Colorado. Having spent time working with race-car chassis engineer Trevor Harris, Paul knew that there had to be a way to make a bike that climbed, cruised, and descended better than what was on the market.

An example of which is shown below, the Maverick ML8.

The ML 8 provides the same climbing and descending characteristics of the ML 7 and ML7.5, with more travel..With 6.5" of rock-eating travel at the rear, and the MonoLink-enabled upward and rearward wheel path (URP) design. It is beatifully finished, with state-of-the-art welds connecting the two halves of the monocoque front end. The rear shock utilizes a coil spring and a positive air chamber to achieve a plush, powerful, efficient ride.

Our demo bike weighs in at 28.5lbs.
