And finally…a bit of local history.
The 'Crow Thorne' was originally a local landmark on the moorland which covered this part of Windsor Forest. Today it is marked at the junction of the Devils Highway (the Roman highway from London to Silchester) and the Sandhurst to Bracknell road, called Brooker's Corner.
